Old-Fashioned Soap, Naturally Handmade
There is something beautifully simple about a traditional bar of handmade soap.
At Come By Chance Apothecary, we embrace the old-fashioned art of soapmaking, using nourishing tallow, carefully selected ingredients and time-honoured methods to create beautiful, rustic soaps that are a pleasure to use.
Each bar is lovingly handmade in small batches, with three beautiful varieties to choose from. Distinctive varieties, each with its own character, all sharing the same simple philosophy — natural ingredients, traditional methods and a love of handmade goodness.
Patchouli & French Lavender
A beautiful combination of earthy patchouli and delicate French lavender. Warm, floral and wonderfully aromatic, this traditional cold-process soap brings a little everyday luxury to your bathing ritual. Slowly cured to create a firm, long-lasting bar.
Activated Charcoal & Drakkar
A bold and beautifully distinctive soap, combining the cleansing qualities of activated charcoal with the rich, aromatic fragrance of Drakkar.
With its intriguing blend of earthy, woody and fresh herbal notes, this soap offers a timeless scent for anyone who appreciates something a little different.
Handcrafted using the traditional cold-process method and slowly cured to create a firm, long-lasting bar.
Rosemary & Tea Tree – Hair & Body Soap
Fresh, herbal and wonderfully invigorating. Made using the traditional hot-process method, this rustic tallow soap combines rosemary and tea tree for a refreshing cleanse.
Created with hair washing in mind, it offers a simple, old-fashioned alternative to bottled shampoo and can also be enjoyed as a traditional body soap.
Because our soaps are handmade in small batches using natural ingredients, no two batches are ever quite the same.
The colour, texture, shape and appearance of each bar may vary slightly, as even nature's ingredients are never entirely identical.
We embrace these little differences. They are part of the charm and character of handmade soap, a reminder that each bar has been crafted with care rather than mass-produced.
