At Come By Chance Apothecary, we believe skincare should be simple, natural, and deeply nourishing — made with ingredients you can trust and crafted with care.

Our products are made by hand in small batches using grass-fed and finished tallow, a time-honoured ingredient celebrated for its ability to hydrate, heal, and support the skin’s natural barrier. Rich in vitamins and fatty acids, tallow closely mirrors the structure of our own skin, making it a gentle, effective choice for all skin types, especially dry, sensitive, or damaged skin.

Each batch is created with love on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, where we are proud to make our products with respect for the land, its history, and its ongoing custodians.

Our skincare is designed to soothe, restore, and rebalance made without unnecessary fillers or synthetic ingredients. Just clean, nourishing formulations that honour the skin, the land, and the power of natural healing.

Come By Chance Apothecary is about getting back to what matters: real ingredients, slow care, and simple rituals that support your skin and connect you to the earth.

Meet Francesca

Surrounded by the Australian landscape and with access to locally and home grown vegetables, foraged and bush ingredients. I continue those old traditions in my own unique way. Sicilian-born and now blessed to call Dja Dja Wurrung Country home

Sicilian-born and now blessed to call Dja Dja Wurrung Country home, my love of making things by hand is grounded in family, tradition and a deep connection to the natural world.

Many of the skills I use today were passed down through generations from my Nonna and my Mother , where making, growing, preserving and using what was available were simply part of everyday life.

Today, I live in the amazing Australian bush with my partner, our beloved sheep, Giovanni the Rooster, the Come by Chance chickens and our very special Lagotto, Georgi Girl. Surrounded by the Australian landscape and with access to locally and home grown vegetables, foraged and bush ingredients. I continue those old traditions in my own unique way.

What began as creating simple, natural products for family and friends gradually became something more, a genuine passion for making and sharing products that are thoughtful, uncomplicated and connected to the land.

And, just like so many of the people, animals and experiences that have found their way into our lives, much of it happened quite unexpectedly — by chance.

And so, Come By Chance Apothecary was born.
